Welcome to the LJFS web site! The Lady Jane Franklin School has been open since 2003 in purpose built facilities in the market town of Spilsby near to the east coast of Lincolnshire. The school is a secondary, co-educational special school for up to 65 students who have complex learning needs. All students who attend the school have statements of Special Educational Needs and are referred by the local authority.
I hope that you will find the site easy to use and can find all the information you may want about what’s going on, the schools facilities, the curriculum, admissions and organisation.
The school works hard with many different groups including the local authority, the local community, staff, students, parents and carers to provide a challenging and effective education for our students. With their help the school aims to:
- enhance the self-esteem and confidence of all students and promote positive/appropriate behavior through success
- develop academic achievement, life skills, creativity, imagination, initiative and individuality in all pupils
- promote a caring community within the school that respects the contributions and values of all sections of society
- involve students and parents/carers in the learning process and build a successful partnership between home and school
- prepare students for life after school
Should you have any questions about the information on the site or about the school please feel free to contact us by email or telephone.
